(Rachel)Yesterday we went on a little hike and found a lot of tidepools. When Wilson and I were exploring, we found a big red crab in a little trench full of water. Afterwards we realized that my dad wasn't following us. We went back in the other derection looking for him, and found him in a cave. He said that there was a surprise. So we started looking everywhere in the cave. I found it, and it was a baby starfish. It was so cute! We taught Alena how to say "starfish" and she says it like this "ar fish". My dad picked it up and gave us a little lesson on how it eats and moves. It was pretty interesting. Then we found a couple of sea urchins. My mom syas that if you get stung by one, you have to put urine on it. Ewww! I hope I never get stung by one! I also found a couple of dried sea urchins. They are pretty cool. I'll show them to you guys when we get home. When we were done looking at all the creatures, we went around the cliffs and found another tidepool that had 10 crabs in it. When we got back to the RV, we went to a nice restaurant. Even though it was lunch, I had a full breakfast of waffles and hot cocoa. It was delicious! I kept looking for their business card, but didn't find it. I was very disappointed. After lunch we went on a hike. It was pretty steep, but worth it at the end. There was a water fall, that wasn't exactly a water fall. The water glided over the rocks. Below the water fall, there was a big water hole as clear as glass. I was dying to swim in it, but it was too cold! It was called Emerald Lake. The sound of the water made me have to go to the bathroom! So we hiked back up to the RV.
